Obama and Holder taking on Arizona's SB1070

House Bill 2203

This bill would essentially make voter registration automatic for people who obtain driver's licenses or ID cards. Right now you have to fill out a separate form, this bill would do away with that. In fact, you would have to proactively opt-out in order to not be registered.

House Bill 2205

This goes hand in hand with HB 2203, as it allows 16 and 17-year-olds to register to vote. How is that legal without changing the constitution? Well, the auditors will put the registration "on ice" until the voter turns 18, so potentially up to two years. We went to court with Secretary Reed after discovering the auditors were already doing this and that it had resulted in illegal voting.
